The Creole Garson “Pour Les Garsons Project”, aims to increase male participation in the arts through exposure and relationship buliding. 10 boys from the community each year are paired with and shadow a professional artist in varies artistic fields including music production, costume/creative design, film making, photography, visuals arts, dance, drama, creative writing, and journalism/social media marketing. The programs runs for 6 months with each Garson working on a project that will be presented in either the stage production of “The Creole Nutcracker” or a BTE(Black Theater Experience) yearly production.
